Our seasoned professionals add value to owner, contractor or lender objectives for any phase of the project life cycle.

PROJECT INITIATION

We help owners, contractors or lenders realize an increased probability of project success through assistance with key front-end tasks, such as feasibility evaluation; scope and work statement definition; FEED studies and basic engineering; early risk element and stakeholder identification; estimating; and achievement of authorization to proceed.

PROJECT PLANNING

Our advisors can contribute to the quality of this key process that encompasses project execution planning and project procedure development, budgeting, project delivery and contracting methods, stakeholder alignment, team building, and project communication plans.

PROJECT RISK MANAGEMENT

Using a wide-ranging list of capital project risk elements characteristic of a client’s project, we audit or provide assistance with development and implementation processes for project risk management, focusing on risk identification, analysis and response planning strategies and the project’s methods for monitoring and control of its risk management program.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT

We analyze and offer expert solutions or help with execution during the design phase in areas of conceptual & detailed design planning, execution & control; scope management; inter-discipline communication/coordination; design reviews or audits including OSHA PHA & HAZOP sessions; the design submittal and approval process; RFI management, and cost & schedule performance reporting.

PROJECT PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT

Our consultants apply tested analysis procedures to evaluate issues typically arising during the planning, conducting, controlling and closing out of procurement activities for a construction project, including procurement audits; the contractor/vendor qualification & selection process; inquiry document preparation; contract/subcontract administration; vendor submittals management; change management; and procurement status reporting.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Seasoned Lumen PMC professionals provide advisory services or execution assistance in areas of site selection; constructability and red team operational reviews; safety planning & control; project environmental assurance; site document control; construction inspection; construction cost & schedule performance reporting; value engineering; risk management; the RFI process; and contract dispute prevention or resolution.
